I feel great pleasure to introduce D. A. V. (Post Graduate) College as co-educational renowned college of the area, which was established in 1950 in B. Sc with specialization in Mathematics and post graduate classes in 1958. The college is affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh university, Meerut (UP). Now, it has strength of about 3000 students with the faculties of Sciences, and Arts. The College has separate spacious buildings for different departments with very well equipped undergraduate and post graduate laboratories. Besides this, the college has different facilities of newly constructed computer laboratory, central library cum-reading room with a book bank for students, sports facilities, N.C.C., rovers & rangers, modern gym, health center, career guidance cell and financial assistance cell for meritorious as well as financially poor and backward students. All the departments and library are provided with internet facility. . The teaching staffs of the college are well qualified having profound knowledge of their subjects and devoted whole heartedly to the well being of the college and students. Most of the teachers are members/life members of academic and professional societies. So as to keen them abreast with the latest trends in the subject, they keep on attending/organizing conferences, symposia, seminars and workshops. The departmental libraries of post graduate departments are having good collection of books and journals. The college, therefore, provided research facilities to students in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology and Botany. The very survival of the college was initially based on its excellent results. This has now become a tradition. It is no exaggeration that the results of the college are outstanding and sometimes stunning too. Every year the students of different classes of the college are securing places in the university merit lists. Besides many students are selected in various competitive examinations and thus add glory to the college. Success can not be achieved by anything unless there is peaceful atmosphere in the college .The proctorial board of the college keeps a last but not the least. There is complete harmony between teachers, principal and management of the college. All the members of teaching and non teaching staff contribute their bit in upgrading the college environment.
