INFRASTRUCTURE
D.A.V. College has enviable infrastructure
facilities. It has a separate administrative block, a boys Hostel to
accommodate 40 boys with mess and common room for recreation in it, common
rooms for girls and boys, quarters for staff members, generator and water
cooler facilities for all departments, well furnished classrooms, auditorium
humming with cultural and academic activities rounded the year, well
equippedlaboratories in different departments, computer facilities with
Internet access, a multi-station gymnasium for weight training available for
sports students as well as for the staff members, lush green play grounds for
football and hockey, basketball and badminton courts, table tennis hall and a
rich library with a sprawling lawn in front of it. Photocopiers are available
in the library. There is a big conference room where the principal of the
college addresses the staff members on important occasions and where the staff
meetings are held.
The college has a well-furnished guesthouse. It
has a dispensary with a consulting physician and parking space for bicycles and
other vehicles. Also, a legal aid clinic has been setup in the college
premises. The college has separate office for N.C.C., N.S.S. and Rover/
Rangers. It is progressing It is progressing by leaps and bounds by using the
